Give yourself lots of time to travel and prepare for the start of the race.

The Start Line is located in Shoreline Park, 2200 Shelter Island Drive (Shelter Island).

There will be no parking on Shelter Island for this event.

Shuttle buses will be running from the Finish Line at Waterfront Park (1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego) to the Start Line between 5:00am and 6:00am. (For guests of the host hotels, they will also be running from the host hotels to the Start Line within the same timeframe.) These shuttles will depart for the start as they’re loaded, and will continue to cycle until 6:00.

Be sure to arrive early to ensure a seat on the shuttle—don’t wait to catch the 6:00 bus! You’ll be joining thousands of guests riding the shuttles, and we want you all to get to the start line for the beginning of your epic morning.

Although we highly encourage you to take a shuttle bus to the Start, rideshares to the start area are welcome and will be directed to a specific drop-off zone.

If you'll be driving to the 10K, the primary parking option is the Cedar Kettner Parking Garage, located at the corner of W. Cedar St. and Kettner Blvd. and a block from the Finish Line, where you can hop a shuttle to the Start Line. The garage opens at 5:00am and is pay to park.

You also have the option of street parking near the Finish Line, which is free on Sunday mornings in certain areas. Just to reiterate: there will be no parking available at the Start Line race morning.

You will receive a clear plastic bag with your race kit at Race Kit Pickup.

There will be two chances for bag/gear check prior to the race:

  • You can drop your clear plastic gear bag at the Gear Check tent located at Waterfront Park near where you get on the buses to the start.

  • You can bring your bag with you to the Start and it will be transported for you to the finish Gear Check tent.

Gear Check at the Start Line will close at 6:30am to get the bags to the finish before you arrive! Make sure you’re using the clear plastic bag that comes with your race kit, as we’re not able to accept any other bags.

You will need to check your bag at the table that corresponds to your bib number (check the large signs in front of the tables to figure out which one is yours). Your bag will remain secure until you finish the race.

Gear Check Schedule

Gear Check at the Finish Line will be open from 4:45am - 10:30am.

Gear Check at the Start Line will close at 6:30am.

Gear Check Rules

  • You must use your clear drawstring kit bag given at Race Kit Pickup for your gear. Absolutely no other bags will be accepted. The bag will be included in your race kit and is sized appropriately so that all bags checked on race day will fit in the gear check areas, ensuring efficiency at both check-in and pick-up.

  • You will receive a sticker in your bib envelope that corresponds to your bib number. You will need to affix the sticker to your bag in the box marked “AFFIX GEAR STICKER HERE.”

  • We strongly recommend you leave your valuables at home. The lululemon San Diego 10K is not responsible for lost or stolen property, including any and all property checked at the gear check-in.

  • Gear Check will close at 10:30am.

  • Gear Check at the Start Line will close at 6:30am.

  • Gear Check will only be available to participants of the lululemon San Diego 10K.
